September Must Haves:

  • Sep 30
  • 2 min read

September felt like a bit of a whirlwind, didn’t it? Back-to-school energy, darker evenings sneaking in, cold and rainy then balmy and sunshine, plus our diaries are filling faster than you can say pumpkin spice.

Here’s what got us through, and what’s getting us excited for October.

What Got Us Through September: Our Must Haves

Talking it Out

We couldn’t wait for our September She Shares event and honestly, it was exactly what we needed. A room full of women, talking openly and laughing loudly, is the best antidote to feeling like you’re juggling it all alone. Please know, you're not alone.

Planning & Scheduling

With the post-summer chaos, our calendars looked like a game of Tetris. Planning and scheduling became survival tactics, so this one was definitely on our September Must Haves list.

Call us old fashioned, but we’re big fans of a good diary (well, any stationery really). The Moleskine daily planner is our current go-to for keeping life (just about) on track.

M&S Hot Shots

Colds, sniffles, and the odd mystery bug have already started making the rounds. Our September lifesaver? Those little M&S hot shots, one a day kept the germs (mostly) away.

Cosy Evenings In, (with the odd evening out)

October feels like the season for candles, blankets, and not feeling guilty about cancelling plans in favour of a sofa night (except a She Shares event!!). Here’s what’s lined up on ours:

📺 What We’ll Be Watching

  • The Morning Show – drama, drama, drama (and Jennifer Aniston never misses).

  • Slow Horses – Gary Oldman at his grumpy best.

  • The Traitors: Celebrity Edition – we’re ready for the lies, deceit, and cloak-swishing.

  • SWIPED (Disney+) – a portrayal of the founder of Bumble. Modern dating chaos and drama, sign us up.

📚 What We’ll Be Reading

With so many brilliant books dropping this autumn, it’s a proper “pile by the bedside” month. On our list:

  • The Rose Field by Philip Pullman – the final chapter of The Book of Dust. A big moment for anyone who grew up with His Dark Materials.

  • King Sorrow by Joe Hill – dark, twisty, and already getting serious buzz.

  • Shadow Ticket by Thomas Pynchon – his first novel in over a decade (a must-read for literature lovers).

Your Turn

That’s our line-up.

What’s on yours? Tell us what you’re watching, reading, or sipping this month, and tag us when you do.

We love seeing your “must haves” too.
