September always feels like a fresh start. The kids are back at school, diaries suddenly fill up again, and summer fades into that golden, early-autumn glow.

It’s also the perfect month to get out and about so here’s our pick of what’s happening locally in Bath, Wiltshire, and beyond.

🎭 Jane Austen Festival, Bath

12th–21st September Bath goes full Regency mode for ten days every September, and honestly, it’s magic. And with the 250year anniversary, it's bound to be memorable.

Think promenades in bonnets, theatrical performances, music, dance, and a chance to step straight into Austen’s world. Even if you don’t dress up, there’s so much to soak up around the city.

🛍 The Frome Independent Market

Sunday 7th September

It’s not your average market, this one is packed with indie makers, vintage treasures, food stalls, and live music. The streets of Frome come alive, and it’s worth the trip if you fancy a Sunday wander with plenty of treats.

🍹 She Shares: September Spritz Social

Thursday 18th September, 7–9.30pm

We’re back after the summer break with an evening of strength, wellness, and connection. Expect a welcome spritz, great conversation, and guest speaker Samantha Charlwood, who’ll be sharing her expertise in strength training and women’s health. Tickets are going fast, so grab yours early.

🎨 Corsham Creative Market

Saturday 6th September

A regular favourite; independent artists, makers, and foodie stalls take over the Town Hall. It’s the perfect spot to pick up gifts, discover local talent, or just treat yourself to something handmade (we always do).

🍴 The Great Bath Feast

]22nd–24th September

Bath’s food scene at its finest. Expect tasting menus, chef takeovers, pop-ups, and plenty of reasons to eat your way around the city. From Michelin-star experiences to casual bites, it’s a true foodie weekend.

✨ Other Ones to Note

  • Bradford on Avon Walking Festival (6th–7th Sept)

Scenic routes and community spirit in one of Wiltshire’s prettiest towns.
