New & Noteworthy: The Sculptural Face
I’ve never really been a “facial person.” I’ve always assumed facials were about pampering rather than results and if I wanted to relax, I’d always go for a massage. But lately I’d been feeling exhausted - and it was showing in my face. I wanted something that would help me look (and feel) less tired and dull.
Lizzie, the owner of The Sculptural Face at Lancefield Studios in Corsham, completely changed my mind. Her studio is cosy, calming, and smells amazing. She took the time to ask about my skin concerns and explained honestly what was (and wasn’t!) possible - sadly she couldn’t make me look completely different - and gave me clear information about the products she was using. She’s not tied to any one brand; instead she chooses products based on her years of experience and what she believes actually works.
For over an hour Lizzie focused entirely on me. She massaged my face, worked on my skin quality, released tension, did lymphatic drainage, fascia release, and techniques to tone and lift. She explained each step and its benefits as she went, which I loved. She combined holistic hands-on methods with modern tools - steaming, electrical currents to help active ingredients penetrate deeper and work more effectively - all non-invasive and perfectly complementary.
One highlight was the most soothing, luxurious mask I’ve ever had. She even sent me home with the remainder, which lasted several days under my usual skincare routine. And the gua sha! I own one at home, but what Lizzie does feels completely different - like a professional treatment, not just a tool.
I left feeling not just deeply relaxed but also lighter in my face, less tense, and glowing.
I’m already planning to go back - next time I’m keen to try her facial acupuncture for fine lines and wrinkles and to make treatments with Lizzie a regular part of my self-care.
If, like me, you’re sceptical about facials, The Sculptural Face might just convert you too.
