Conversations about sex and desire often feel loaded - shaped by expectation, comparison and a quiet sense that we’re meant to feel a certain way.


This piece follows on from a recent She Shares event, where many women shared similar questions: Why does desire change? What’s normal? And how do we talk about it, with ourselves and with others, without fearing judgement?


We asked a psychosexual therapist to help unpack what desire actually is, why it shifts across different stages of life, and how we can relate to it with more understanding, whether we’re in a relationship or on our own.
